I love helping people discover the music in their own voice. Singing gives us the power to create, perform, and tell stories in a way that is uniquely personal. Supporting students as they develop their technique, find their own sound, and build lasting confidence, is the most rewarding job I can imagine.
About
I’m Sally-Anne - a singer, performer, and vocal coach on the Isle of Man.
I offer one to one singing lessons for both adults and children, group singing lessons for children and beginner to intermediate piano lessons. Lessons take place at Music Base in Ramsey; a music school developed by my husband, Ed: www.musicbase.im.
Music and performance have always been my happy place. I studied Performing Arts Music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, specialising in voice, before completing a Masters in Acting at ArtsEd, London. I am a trained Primary School Teacher, a Vocal Heath First Aider through Vocal Health Education and a graduate of Vocology in Practice's Be A Singing Teacher course.
I’ve taught at places such as Italia Conti and the University of Creative Arts, before moving back to the Isle of Man and developing my studio, alongside teaching at the wonderful Arts Hub, the island's Music Service and Mini Musicians classes.
I’ve spent countless hours performing live - from touring the UK and Europe with function bands to singing with my vintage harmony trio,
The Reveillettes. I’ve always loved the audience connection in a live setting, and that really shapes my teaching and performing.
Being a qualified primary teacher means I know learning works best when it feels relaxed, engaging, and always a little bit fun, no matter your age! My student-led singing lessons for both children and adults are designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, and help you discover what your voice can really do.
